Some Brilliant Tips to Design Your Kitchen

Have you been thinking of designing your kitchen that is so appealing, beautiful and yet safe for your children? We bring in some tips for you!

Here are some brilliant tips to design your kitchen:

Think Beyond

While you design your kitchen, there is no specific shape or orientation that you must follow while designing it. All you need to think is, a little beyond the shape, i.e. the easy movement into the kitchen as you need comfortable movement space while you cook and serve.

Make Room for Storage

Storing kitchen containers and other items becomes a tedious task, if proper storage is not available in the kitchen. Hence, ensure you have enough room for storage of small and bigger containers and utensils and jars in the kitchen. This will also help you avoid unnecessary clutter in the kitchen.

Proper Lights

While you cook in the kitchen you don’t want the kitchen light casting shadows over the workspace. Hence, ensure you position the lights in a manner such that they do not create shadows on your working area as that might become a hindrance while cooking at  night.

Space & Surface

There is nothing called too much counter space. You can have all the space you need for cooking/the counter space. Always pick the surface that you are comfortable working on. Having tiles on the surface can, however, have a little bit of difficulty in maintenance as dirt can easily settle in the gaps between the tiles.

Safety Comes First

Ensure your kitchen is as safe and family friendly as possible. Ensure the tiles are not that slippery that can lead to accidents or injuries. Proper water drainage system and well maintained cabinets and counter space with sharp objects like knives kept away from the reach of the children can help you be not so worried about your kids. The same is valid to your gas pipes.

We hope these few tips help you design your kitchen in a good and safe manner. And if you have some even more helpful tips for our readers, you can share them with us on Facebook. Visit our Facebook Page  Here.

6 Insanely Sensible Creative Kitchen Storage Ideas for you

Here are 6 unique kitchen storage ideas you can apply at your home for your convenience.
  1. Products that are regularly utilized in the kitchen must be placed in distinct glass containers that should be kept  an open up shelf close to the cooking area for easy access. Stuff like flour and sugar come in this range.  Corral little materials like cookie cutters, cupcake holders and sprinklers in baskets or close by drawers. Pull-out pantry set-up makes the most of the space between studs by pulling out storage spaces. This pantry storage can be utilized for dry fruits, canned objects and a few other objects that you need on hands more often.
  2.  An over-the-door storage method is handy when it comes to retaining stuff that you utilize on any regular day. Store dried products in very clear glass containers so that it is easy to identify them anytime you need. Packaged snacks and other similar eatables can be stored collectively in baskets with labels for easy recognition.
  3. How about making a checklist of the items kept inside the cupboard and hanging the checklist outside the cupboard for more clarity about which all products are stored inside the cupboard? A nice idea you can implement in your other rooms as well!
  4. Find a storage insert that fits the shelves to store utensils and label each and every compartment to ensure it is easy to place things accordingly.
  5. A devoted cutting and chopping board for vegetables and fruits can be of good help in reducing the mess in the kitchen during cooking. A pullout chopping board with built-in knife can be stored underneath the platform in the kitchen close to the sink for quick clean up too.
  6. Store spices in airtight transparent containers with label so that they can be easily reached while cooking without mistaking them with any other cooking ingredient.

Try these ideas and make your cooking a fun filled event with a lot more comfort and convenience and quick access to the containers and materials in the kitchen.
