The city meets its water need needs via two main rivers namely Girna and Godavari.

- Gangapur Dam - constructed way back in the year 1954, the dam has been built on the holy river Godavari located in the outskirts of the city. This was indeed the first dam to be built in the district. Drive about 10 kilometers from Nashik to reach out to this place.
- Girna Dam –This dam is considered to be the largest one located near Nandgaon in Nashik the height of the dam above lowest foundation is 54.56 m (179.0 ft) while the length is 963.17 m (3,160.0 ft). The volume content is 2,042 km3 (490 cu mi) and gross storage capacity is 608,980.00 km3 (146,102.07 cu mi).
- Darna Dam – Built way back in 1916 during the British Era, the dam has a catchment area measuring about 404 Sq.qm. lowest foundation is 28 m (92 ft) while the length is 1,634 m (5,361 ft). The volume content is 1,886.1 km3 (452.5 cu mi) and gross storage capacity is 226,870.00 km3
